On Saturday I went to Euston Road to the Super Human/Medicine Man Exhibition. Both Exhibitions were interesting however I preferred the objects in the Medicine Man Exhibition. One object in particular caught my eye for its shock factor. A Chinese Torture Chair. Created by Sir Henry Wellcome. It was a chair covered in rusty razor blades on the bottom, back and arms and basically used as a devise to torture it's victims. Ironically put in the exhibition to illustrate our eternal obsession with the human body. I was drawn to it initially as it was not exactly what I had expected to see in this exhibition. Secondly its harsh and brutal exterior made me want to find out more about its use and explore the gruesome secrets.
